The East Coast Tattour Premiers At Laconia

For years tattoo artists have set up shop in the cottages overlooking Lake Street at Wiers Beach during Bike Week.  This year the ink will flow at a new location as the Lake Opechee Inn & Conference Center hosts the opening event of the East Coast Tattour.

From Wednesday at 6 PM to Saturday at 10 PM, artists from around the country—and even from Japan—will pick up their guns and lay down their designs in what promises to be the most dynamic tattoo tour in America. Celebrity artist Amy Nicoletto from House of Pain in Rialto, California and a star on LA Ink is attending and Jeff Goyette of Inflicting Ink will be hauling in his famous tattoo truck/studio into Laconia. The official webpage, www.eastcoasttattour2012.com lists 44 noted artists attending, but as of the last week in April about 70 have actually registered according to organizer Jackie Dowd.

There will be plenty of entertainment as well. Paul “The Enigma” Lawrence and Serana Rose will be performing as Show Devils, an avant garde spectacular that is reputed to be cutting edge of fringe performance art. Classic pinup model Laura Lynn of Dipped in Ink will be on hand as the Tattour spokesperson and The Pretty Things Peepshow, as seen on NY Ink, is another act that shouldn’t be missed. The Eric Grant Band and Jam Sandwich are two of the groupss scheduled to play. The Fusion Art Auction is another anticipated event and 100% of proceeds go to cancer research.  The tattoo contests?  Well, they promise to be the best Bike Week has ever seen.

The premier of the East Coast Tattour opens on Wednesday, June 13th at 6 PM.  The hours are Wed. 6 PM – midnight; Thurs. & Fri. 11 AM – midnight; Sat. 16th 11 Am – 10 PM.  It’s advisable to make your appointments with artists well in advance. Located at the Conference Center at the Lake Opechee Inn & Spa, www.OpecheeInn.com, on US Rt. 3 / NH Rt. 107 just north of downtown Laconia and on the shore of Opechee Bay.
